Definitely a difficult question to answer - I married someone who loved travel and is another TCK as well. I realize not everyone can do that though - I have to admit - until then, I chose travel over "confining" relationships. It was - I wouldn't "settle" otherwise. I honestly - I cut off relationships to be honest if I thought that was going to be an issue. I think some people can compromise. Others simply know how miserable they would be and so they don't.

I agree with Brice, talk to your partner about it. I am currently in a LDR with my boyfriend of 5 years. He completely understands where I'm coming from and willing to support that :)

Actually, it is a personal place to vent! We do it all the time here. :)
Yeah I do agree, it can be complex with all those factors involved.
Many TCKs have a fear of commitment, so we can often come up with all kinds of reasons to stay uninvolved.
Are you involved in a relationship right now?
Do you have a similar attachment problem like this one discussed in this thread, which you may find helpful too:
Lol im sorry i know this sint a personal place for complaints haha its just complex with education, money, family, relationship and travel thank you for your response brice its really nice of you and it did help some

Could you elaborate on the question and tell us more about your situation? It's hard to answer without knowing the context.
I assume you mean should you keep on traveling, or settle down with your partner?
I know many TCKs who have 'settled' down against their will, because they've fallen in love with a monocultural person who prefers to stay at home. If you feel obligated to settle despite your restlessness and wanting to travel the world, you may harbor some bitterness towards the relationship.
Personally, I believe relationships are far more important. If you feel restless and have the 4 year itch then you should discuss this with your partner.
It's very important you both agree on major decisions and be comfortable with making any compromise.
It's a bit difficult to answer this question without having a contest, because every situation is different!
