What is your TCK IQ?

I heard this from Alex, a TCK, and it looks like fun so I thought I’d share it. My TCKQ is 2.30!

I once met a TCK who asked every other TCK he met what his TCK Quotient (or TCKQ) was. You get your TCKQ by dividing your age by the number of places you have lived.

So, I’m 32, and have lived in 13 different places. 32/13 = 2.46.

So, what’s your TCKQ?

TCKQ Definition (numbers haven’t been verified yet)

<1.0 Either you’re running from some psycho or you’re 007.

1.0-2.0 You are Cain, from Kung Fu, destined to walk the world.

2.0-2.5 Your parents dragged you around with their NGO/Federal Service/Military/Int’l Business careers and you grew up and did the same thing.

2.5-3.0 You’ve had your run and have begun to settle down and plant roots, or you’re taking more time between moves.

3.0-4.0 You’re are burgeoning teen living under your parents’ mobile career, or you are one of the sagely TCKs who settled for good, sometime ago.

4.0-5.0 Read and learn, young grasshopper; your journey has just begun – or – Thank you for visiting our site oh wise master.

5.0 You sure you’re a TCK?

oops, not 007, guess I'm just destined to walk the world (A nice destiny if I may say so myself)

    I haven't recounted places I have lived recently to make double sure, but I think it's 15? So, 21/15 = 1.4. Yippee, I'm 007!

mine isn't houses, that would be 2.5, but countries, different areas is like 35, and towns is like 90. But they go into decimals so i chose my nice, simple, countries.
  • Julie
The question is what do they mean by places? Areas in the same contry of different countries altogether. Sometimes different areas are totally different. Or do you mean houses? One time we moved 9 times in one year. If you count contries I have lived in 4 and I just turned 27 so that would be 6.75. If you count very different areas in those countries It would be 2.45 and if you count moves it would be 1.03. We moved back and forth into relativly the same area a few times. I don't think I am running from some psycho but maybe I am one. Anyway I have moved a lot and keep my stuff down to 2 suitcases, a carry on, and one trunk to store in Canada at all times (the trunk is stuff from my Grandma's house before she moved into the nursing home and some books I want to keep but can't take with me.)
