The How International Are You? Test

I’ve written this online test a while ago. If you are a true global nomad you should score in the category “Global Gypsy” or above (I’ve used the term gypsy instead of nomad because, to me, a nomad is someone who migrates seasonally and a gypsy someone who migrates freely). Please have a go and tell me what you think of it:

    I’m an EXPAT

55% Worldliness,48% Lifestyle (absolutely right at my advanced age XD),61% Attitude, 82% Knowledge. I AM surprised at the poor attitude showing, but I think I know what influenced that…

The question I liked best was the one about what it would take to pack “your most precious possessions.” At this stage of my life, I think I could actually pack them all quite nicely just in my heart…except my 3 cats, who can be seen by following the link.

You are a true internationalist. For you home is not defined by a country but by your family and friends, many of whom are internationalists like you.

So…I’ve hit a snag–I’ve never visited the place I was born.

I had a couple of problems answering the questions…

I’ve never visited the place where I was born, so none of those answers really worked.

I said that it would be a challenge to be in a relationship with someone from a culture different from mine… but maybe I should have said “why not?” After all, it’s my only option, since I’m the only me in the world! And just because I recognize that it would be a challenge (as even monocultural relationships are) doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like it.

And there was a question that referred to my country of origin… I don’t remember what question that was… but I had to stop and think about which country that must be. I finally decided it probably was not the country where I was born.
