Texas TCKs?

Well, the title of this is pretty self explanatory, are there any TCKs currently in Texas at the moment? this is my attempt to search for someone with the TCK experience here, as I haven’t found anyone yet. I would like to organize a meetup later on, but first things first- I must find people other than my self for that! Thanks everyone!

PS . . . I Live about an hour north of Houston at the moment.

Yes, would love to be part of a group. Am also in Austin. Looks like there are a few of us in the Live Music Capitol. Spain, Belgium, and Kuwait. How can I help get all together?

Howdy, I just found this website tonight, and I'm located in College Station.

Happy Texas independence day by the way!
  • scott
cool. i am in Houston right now though. could you come here? lol is anyone available for the rest of their winter break?
  • I too am in San Antonio for the moment. I just graduated from UTA in Dallas and moved down to live with my family here in SA until I find a job. I'd be interested to go to a meet :)
  • scott
well, if anyone is still interested in this, give me a shout. i may have a means of transportation soon.

hey scott sorry it took so long for me to see your msg..

I'm studying civil engineering at UTAustin, it's pretty nice there - i love the city. But don't listen to haters at SHSU, Belvin food is the sh*t LOL and sam is really pretty nice. One thing I miss from Sam, is that bc UT is so much bigger it's not that common to see ppl who aren't in the same classes by chance. but I can't say which is better because they are so different.

One of my roommates graduated this last semester, the other still goes there as far as I know, but I'm not sure how into meeting other tcks they are. If you're looking for ppl to hang out with I still have some friends who go there they're pretty cool.

Last thing I'm thinking of going back to sam sometime in the fall sem. to visit friends, I'll meet anybody there too if Austin isn't the Spot.

lol yea sorry bout that, I guess its a san antonio thing. as far as a meet up...maybe la grange? i dunno that was the closest thing to a middle area. that and college station :) or austin. lol
  • scott
San Antionio! i'm a genius! well, for a meetup, we should try to think of a place to meet first. i know many of you live in austin, so that is a possibility. for myself, college station is closer, but poor old Bo would have to drive even farther(without leaving the state mind you) to get there. Any suggestions?
  • scott
SA . . . quest que c'est? (that was probably pretty horrid . . but i could not help myself) what is SA? South Austin perhaps? south amarillo? south arlington?
    ???????????????????????????????????
  • Bo
whats up im here in SA. we should all meet up sometime! is there anyone else in SA?
  • scott
just curious . . . what are you studying? do you like it in Austin better than SHSU? I hang out at the bike shop right by the bus station, it's pretty cool. do you know if our room mates are still here?
    thanks
  • genxni
    Wow nice~
I went to SHSU for two years before I transferred. I'm sure you'll meet someone there who's travelled, I had two straight up tck roommates - really nice people. The bus stop looks pretty creepy but it's not that bad, last year I was there like every other weekend.
  • scott
Yep,I am a sophomore at SHSU. I might be able to get a ride with someone up there, but i don't know if i want to take the bus, as that is what most of the former prisoners here use to get home, but we shall see! I am really desperate to meet someone with the TCK experience.
  • genxni
dang I didnt realize there were so many other tcks living in Austin!

I go to UT Austin so I'll be back in the fall, I'm in Europe right now. Definitely down for a meetup if you guys have another one later. Don't have a car either, but bus is an idea. I know there's a Greyhound station in Huntsville.

btw Scott do you go to SHSU?
  • Uncle Dan
I was *born* in Clear Lake, Houston, but I don't live there, and don't really plan to.

    Still, good luck all!
  • scott
Thanks everyone for the quick response! I would be really excited to meet all of you soon. However, there is one problem that currently stands in the way for me, and that is the issue of transportation. I don't have a car, just a bike, so we need to organize some sort of transportation. I will be away this weekend, and I work 9AM to 2PM during the week. next weekend is totally free, as is the afternoon. If we could meet here(Huntsville, TX) then that would be great for me, but not very convenient for most of you, so please send some other suggestions of where we could meet, or something of the sort. Thanks everyone!
