TCKs in New Delhi???

Hey,

Just wondering, how many TCKs are there in New Delhi at the moment?

And how many are about to come over to the city?

I’m an Australian-Indian TCK and proud to be one, but this just makes the “natives” hate me. Particularly at Uni, where the students don’t take kindly to “foreigners” like us.

And it’s tough to find friends who one can talk to about the TV shows one watched in Europe as a child, or about obscure Aussie rock bands, or even general cultural things that almost everyone abroad understands.

If this happens to you too, let’s unite, and seek the company of our intelligent, well-travelled, multi-cultural and tolerant fellow-TCKs.

Even if this doesn’t happen to you, join us.

It’ll be fun. Like a TCK Mensa, you know what I mean?

Hit me back soon…

I am not going to get into this, because it's not my place; I don't live in India. But I will second Ruchir; when I went to St Columbas in the 70s, even the teacher joined the kids in ragging me "Baccha Hain, Australia-New Zealand ka Baccha". My solidarity Ruchir, because kids can be worse than college students. It's not hard to see why even now, seeking acceptance is a way of life for me, one that is simply not appreciated in the non-TCK community and probably not even in the TCK community. Peace.

Well yeah, I'm not totally sure what I'm supposed to write.

Hey there... I'm from Chennai, but i've heard that New Delhi has a lot more TCKs than down south. I'm a california-hong kong- japan- bangkok indian TCK, but the crowd down here's been really open, so i guess i'm lucky. :) Maybe we should start an Indian TCK group, and see what happens. I've met some really open-minded individuals who live in New Delhi through some social networking sites though, and we've really hit it off well... So let me know if i can help you out with that. :)
