OK everyone, this is important.
I just received this email from Ruth Van Reken and Paulette Bethel (yes, they both emailed me about it).
“This explains better than I know how to do for a “general” audience what this story is about. Please circulate so he (and Wall Street Journal) know this is a real topic!”

Send Alan Paul an email at expatlife@dowjones.com. He wants to know “When someone asks you where you’re from, how do you answer the question?” and mention the TCKID.com forum so he’ll know that YES, this is a REAL topic and TCKS are out there.

I will write him a short synopsis of my wanderings as an Air Force brat and retired Army officer, but I am interested in seeing what my son - whose mother is Korean, and who has lived both the brat and civilian versions of TCK - will have to say.

I included my honest thoughts on Obama’s multinational background along with how I would answer the question pertaining to “home.” I hope Mr. Alan Paul will find it helpful. =)
