    Hi Andrea!

I got an email from Brice that a DCTCKID wants to meet. We should do another meet! Maybe this time we should not do a restaurant but sit in a circle kinda thing you know? To get the discussion going? And have some discussion topics prepared? Haha sounds like summer camp. I just thought last time everyone was shy and it took the whole lunchtime to break the ice. That way we can include more people too. What do you think?

Meeting you would be great….I live in Bowie, so I’m not too far away from DC.

Not to mean to hijack this post but BUNNY!!! Haven’t seen you in a while…and yes you are great and famous :D

I wish I am in DC :( If I was still in CT it wouldn’t have been a problem…

Who is Bunny? I’m “Bunny” on wheresgeorge.com (since 2001)lol.
    Anyway…

About Lynn’s circle idea… I guess my house might work. We moved and have a basement now. It’s in Mount Vernon, which is in D.C. but on the VA side.

The downside is that it’s not greatly Metro accessible. It is, but you gotta take a 25 minute bus ride.

    Ideas, ideas anyone?

This was posted on FB but maybe it was too formal. Dunno. It got no responses.

    Hey T.C.K.’s,
This is an exclusive invitation to TCKs in the Washington, D.C. area!

Summer 2007, thirteen of us met downtown at Clyde’s of Gallery Place in Chinatown. It was a BLAST. We made many life-long connections and friends. I met Caitlin (She’s the best!).

Sitting around a table, we discussed cultural differences, education, careers, relocation; all topics so uniquely relevant to our situation. All of us were in different phases of life (some living with parents, some in transition, grad school, in careers, married, etc…). I cherished the (valuable) insight others had to share.

It had been seven years or so since I had been around other “kids” like you all, so the event really opened my eyes to what others are experiencing.

So, please… mark your calendars for March 2008. Please post any thoughts here.

    Thank you!

For me, it’d be easier if it were after school ends–we’re out early May. But if you want to do it before, I’m available for everything but late April…

I really wanna come this time, especially not having been to DC yet and having lived in NY for 2 years now…but I can’t make it until around summer…even then I might not make it as I am finishing my thesis film, but if you have it in the summer I will definitely try! Yeah! Sooo exciting :)

    Paul,
Will the first part of August work out? Right now we’re planning on meeting at Paul’s house.

If not, we could meet at mine, but it’s quite a ride from the Metrorail.
