Salut tout le monde

Hi everyone!  My name is Sherri and I’m an MK-TCK.  I was born in Alberta, moved 4 times within Alberta by the time I was 4, lived in Quebec for 11 months, then my family moved to Cameroon (ha, for a change I don’t think I have to try to explain where that is!)  Ironically, life settled down after I became a TCK.  I lived in the same city and house in Cameroon for 13 years, just coming back to Canada and travelling for about a year every 4 years or so.  Finally moved back to Alberta for university the week before I turned 18.  I’ve been in Edmonton for 3 years now, but went back to Cameroon for 7 months in the middle.  I’m finishing my third year at the University of Alberta, which is only the second university I’ve attended :)  I’m in Elementary Ed and really hope to teach TCKs after I’m done…anywhere but here! :P   I’ve been helping out with International students this year and I was surprised (shouldn’t have been) how much easier it is to relate to them as oppposed to N.Americans.  I travelled extensively in the states (my parents dragged us along on most of their trips, but I actually enjoyed it) as far south as Texas (and Florida once, but that was flying, not driving), California to the west, Michigan to the east, and pretty much everywhere in between.  I haven’t been to the Canadian territories or the east coast…yet!  I’ve also visited France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, England, and Belgium….oh yeah and the Vatican City.  Oh yeah, my second language is French and I’m leaning toward German for my third (want to convince me otherwise?)

I’m fairly new on here (obviously) but I’d love to get to know more people.  Anyone else out there from Cameroon? or Edmonton?

It’s so cool you have traveled a lot within the US territory. I currently live in Illinois and I think there is much more to see even within the States. Welcome! p.s. I know where Cameroon is haha.
