Russel Peters Indian vs Chinese (Video)

I can’t believe no one posted this already… what is wrong with you people? (joking).

If you’ve lived under a rock and never heard of Russel Peters, you’re in for a treat. If you’ve watched this before, then you know it’s worth watching it over again. :)

Some exciting news. He’s gonna have his own sitcom soon!!

New sitcom on FOX

In September 2007, it was confirmed that Peters made a deal with FOX to develop a new sitcom, based on his experience of living in Canada. Peters says, “It’s really a snapshot of where my family maybe was ten years ago.”, and he ensures that the sitcom is “Something that will be funny and honest.”[7][8]

Uncle Dan: haha your friend is cool. I'd love to wear a shirt like that.

Warona: LOL Seriously, you need to buy a camera and start recording those funny moments.</img>

i thought when he does the bit where he is copying the language (but of course speaking gibberish since he doesn't speak zulu or xhosa) sounded a lot like the language itself!

i have a friend who is ductch tck, grew up in swaziland and botswana and he doesn't speak setswana, but does an impression of the news on radio botswana in setswana. if you weren't paying attention you'd think he was speaking the language. it is HILARIOUS!!!

ugh, another "guess you had to be there" story

I watched it with a TCK from Malawi. When he first started doing an impression of African languages she said "That doesn't sound anything like any language in South Africa." But then he went into the !xobile part and she approved. ^^ Funny what you find, with TCKs.

Another friend went to Thailand and actually got shirts made with "!XOBILE!" and "DANGWHAAAA!"

the funny thing, i actually know a chick whose name is ncobile (the "c" is also a click (different sounding click though)in zulu, siswati and xhosa, and the exclamation marks are only used in khoi-san languages) i laughed so hard when i watched that!

But yeah, I love the one with !XOBILE!

"I'm naming my first child !xobile, I don't care what anyone says. My kid is getting a click in his name"

this is really funny. i have seen it before, but you are right, i just watched it again and laughed!

i also like the one when he talks about african names. he confuses some cultures but it is more researched and accurate than i have ever heard any comedian do when talking about africa, so i give it the thumbs up (and that's what counts, right? screw roper and ebert!) its pretty hilarious.

brice baby, won't you post it here. i am way too computer stoopid to do that! (read: lazy)
