MK from Hong Kong

I have just joined the website and I’m excited about the possibilities it has!  I grew up in Hong Kong as an MK and lived there most of my life. My parents are both from the US and they tried very hard to help me understand my American heritage.  It stills seem foriegn to me.  I came to Texas for college and then returned to Hong Kong to work there a couple of years.  I was always hoping to be somewhere where I felt I belonged.  I later returned to Texas to get my Masters degree and have stayed in Texas.  I am currently working in Austin.  I never feel like I belong here and it’s always good to know that I’m not alone in this feeling!  After being here for a few years, I’m already feeling the bug to move.  It always comes around.  I would love to meet other TCKs that live in the area.  It’s hard to find people who understand life outside of Texas, let alone the US. 

If you ever travel to Hong Kong and would like to know of some great places to visit, I’d be happy to help!

    Welcome to tckid, Elizabeth! :) There are a lot of TCKs here from Texas, 39 at my last count.

    How did you find out you’re a TCK?
