- Resurrecting “Czechoslovakia”
- Inventing the Iraq-Pakistan border
- Not knowing the difference between Shi’ite and Sunni
- Confusing ‘Sudan’ with ‘Somalia’ and ‘Iraq’ with
‘Afghanistan’

To be fair McCain isn’t the only high profile politician who makes mistakes like this. To me it’s a reminder of how ‘local minded’ people are in the world.
