Introducing…Melissa

After minor technical difficulties, I’ve managed to at last! I am a lurker by nature, but have decided to embrace my (inner) procrastinator. My name’s Melissa. I’m 21. I’ve only lived in 2 countries: US and UK. ”Two countries separated by an ocean and a common language.” But I’ve had 14 different addresses. And I was born in a state I never lived in (Alabama). Currently, Boston is home. If only because I’m in denial about the family suddenly moving to Houston. Yes, I am an oil brat. *shame*I like to pretend that I am bi-lingual: US English-UK English. I routinely say “zed”. I have dual citizenship. I don’t have a driver’s license. I can comprehend Fahrenheit, but I think in Celcuis. (Except  when it’s -8, for the sake of my sanity I switch back ) I can’t live without my electric kettle. Or my passports. (They’re my only ID).If there’s anything else you want to know ask. If not, I’m sure my true colours will emerge eventually. Hope to meet all of you soon. :) Melissa

Welcome to TCKid Melissa! :) I love that you pointed you’re bilingual: US English-UK English. Honestly, they’re completely two differnet languages in my opinion. I mean both sides can’t agree with each other XD

Please don’t hesitate to join us in the chatroom! This is where we reveal all of our “true” colors XD

Welcome to tckid Melissa. Hey, the UK and US are completely different countries (except maybe for the language, which aren’t even exactly alike). LOL, anyways, come over to the chatroom and talk to us. Like panda (cynthia right above me) said, we reveal our colors there. It’s mighty colorful there too xD

Anyways… wait for Brice’s LOLcat welcome. It’s something awesome I bet, although you probably already know that, since you’ve been here lurking.. haha xD

Ahh, it’s true. I think it’s also terrible that English tend to think all Americans only have either California or African-American accents. And likewise that Americans think all English speak like the Queen. >.< Welcome, though! Hope to see you in the chatroom!

Lol on the topic of the English thing, I got offered a lift to the mall by a stranger at a gas station. I was freezing my ass off, having been stood outside for an hour in the snow so I went lol. Then he ended up asking me stuff about England like I mentioned people can actually walk places over there (instead of driving everywhere) and he asked me if owning cars is a luxury in England. He also asked me if England, Scotland and Wales were connected, and was asking me where his surname came from, England or Wales? Lol it was pretty funny.

    Anyways…Welcome to the group Melissa!
