Introducing Charm!

Hey everyone! I’ve actually been on here a while and felt like writing something, as I’m bored and am currently obsessed with Lolcats thanks to Brice lol.

So anyway, I’m Charm and I was born in England and I moved to Saudi Arabia when I was 6 months old, where my dad was already working. My dad is also a TCK (English/Welsh) but he’s happy just calling himself an African after growing up in Zambia for 20 years, and his mom was Welsh and Dad English. My mom is from Philippines, she’s not a TCK, although she did travel a lot after college which is how she met my dad lol. So I am ethnically English/Welsh/Filipina.

After living in Saudi we repatriated to England when I was 10. We all hated it lol so we moved to Bahrain for several years. For some reason I can’t think of anymore, I moved to a British boarding school for a few months and was absolutely miserable, so I returned to Bahrain. I returned again to England for a gap year and to start college and I finished my first year there. I’m currently doing my second year in college in New York state in the US. We also spent many many summers and christmasses in Philippines, and we have a house there but don’t actually live there.

Hmm, what else? I like doing charity work in my spare time. For fun, which the people doing community service there can’t seem to understand lol. I can’t think of anything else to ramble about so I’ll just wrap it up lol. Hey everyone!

Yay Charm - 6 weeks of free time! .... to procrastinate with us in the chatroom.. I mean, work on pilot survey!
  • charm
Well, now that I'm done with my first US semester, I have 6 weeks total free time lol. At some point I'm gonna finish my pilot survey and then I'm gonna need some help with it. I haven't had the time to work on it until now due to paper deadlines and finals.

Oh Charm, since you've been to England and you don't like it there, then you'll probably get this chav picture. lol

For those who don't know what 'ASBO' means, here's the definition:

In the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland[1] an Anti-Social Behaviour Order, acronym ASBO (pronounced /'æzbo?/ az-bo), is a civil order made against a person who has been shown to have engaged in anti-social behaviour.

In the UK it has been claimed that ASBOs are treated with contempt by young people, and in some cases are even seen as a badge of honour.

"The defining features of the chav clothing is the Burberry pattern (notably a now-discontinued baseball cap) and from a variety of other casual and sportswear brands. Tracksuits, hoodies, track suit bottoms and baseball caps are particularly associated with this stereotype. Response to the term has ranged from amusement to criticism that it is a new manifestation of classism.[4] The term has also been associated with juvenile delinquency, the "ASBO Generation", "Hoodie culture", and "yob culture".</img>
