Interview partners needed!
Hey everyone,
I am a fellow TCK in my final year at University in Germany. After having spent a lot of time searching for a topic for my thesis I finally settled on doing research on what affected me most during my childhood. I would like to examine how an extremely mobile childhood or basically the lifestyle of a TCK affects the formation of identity and the sense of belonging. In order to continue my research, after having outlined the theoretical background, I am now in need of several interview partners who would be willing to spend some time chatting to me over the phone (or via skype) and tell me their own amazing personal story. Age is not really an important issue although I would also appreciate some feedback from adult TCKs. If you are interested please contact me via laragoldsworthy@gmx.de and then we can discuss further procedures.
Thanks a lot in advance
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Lara

Lara, are you focussing your research on a particular kind of TCK? I think that the experience (and perhaps the effect) of the missionary kid life might be different from the diplomat kid life, for example — although still the same basic TCK experience with all of its advantages and disadvantages.

Yes I agree with Ingrid the type of TCK you are looking for will probably make a big difference. I think it greatly affects how they lived and what they saw therefore it changes a lot in the stories and the way things affected people.
