Interesting Links from around the world

For the current lack of a Links page, I think it would be best to add a forum post for listing interesting links from our different parts of the world.

That said, considering that we’re also always linking this and that on the chatroom, just post comments with short descriptions of websites you love for whatever reason and you’d like to share:

On my side, I have a few:

The “Mr Brown Show” is a Singaporean website/radio/podcast show which makes fun of random Singaporean things. Considering Singapore as a pretty international city, some of the stuff they have is hilarious. Podcasts are easiest, so I’ll link you directly there, but feel free to browse around:

I also particularly love the German band “Wir Sind Helden”, they probably have the most creative and flexible sound I’ve heard from any band in a long time, and they’re actually just as good live as they are in the studio. That’s also extremely uncommon. I think good music transcends cultures, so I’ve been linking lots of them wherever I can, but here’s their website:

    Uncyclopedia - hilarious website and a place to waste time…some stuff can make you so angry at the stupidity of possibly anyone thinking of some of the crap up that you wanna throw your computer out the window. Hilarious nevertheless. (This is where I found the Map of Africa LOL)

    I am going to shamelessly advertise my friend’s blog on here :D

    It’s called “Revealed” and it’s about medical illustration. She’s using this as a way to explain things in the medical world that most people don’t know or don’t have the opportunity to touch upon. I think this is the perfect career for her as she likes to draw and is a big geek when it comes to science :D
