How common are TCKs?
This post has 251 views
Hey Uncle Dan (or anyone else who might know), is there any sort of recent study or figures that estimate the number of TCKs in the world or in America? I’m really curious as to how common this is
What do you think of this post?

I do remember reading that the U.S government estimated 300,000 U.S students living overseas, of whom 100,000 transfer back to the U.S every year.
(I’ll give you the sources when I have time unless someone beats me to it.)

Hello jeff8,
In year 2003, the number of estimated Korean TCKs was 8,000~10,000 (only accounting the number of children born to parents of missionary work)
In 1999, OMF (Overseas Mission Fellowship) had 46 Korean TCKs and in 2002 had 60, showing 30% increase.
The Western and Asian spheres combined, the nation that exhibited the world’s number one TCK increase rate is Korea.
