HELLLPPPPP!

LOL so some of you know about this poster I’m doing LOL. I’m a photoshop addict and I like to make all kinds of pics and edit em. Anyways, I made the TCK flag (some of you have seen it).

Anyways (again) I need some pics of the members here. Some of us already have nicknames in this website (mine being fetus cause of my age). Well so far, here’s the nicknames we have:

Kristine: Fetus/babby

Brice: Geeky Cat

Uncle Dan: GOD/Evangelist

Warona: One of us/big sis

Cynthia: Panda

Julie: Babysitter/cook

Angelic: the clown.

Maira: outstanding newcomer

James Brown: is himself.

Priyanka: frighter

Karin: Calvin

Anyways, if you wanna be in the poster, please send me pics of yourself, where your face is clear and visible. Don’t worry, I won’t be editing pics so that I can make you look bad LOL! Message me in private (can we do that here?!) with the pic. Thanks peoples :)

I only saw the first movie, and yeah, I identified a lot with the outcast/special powers/no one gets us/ we're better/superior than them kind of feelings...I never thought about any of this until now though...after knowing about the TCK concept it makes a lot of sense why I idendify with that.
Once more, I'm glad to know I'm not alone!

LOL calm down, warona. it's alright. hopefully hollywood would change someday lol.

anyways, me, ninja? YEAH!!! lol okay yeah warona, you're a genius :D
  • warona
well i am glad everyone is into this.

yes, x-men are very much like tck. that sort of in between, no one gets it, few people want to take the time to get it sort of thing.

so far i am still debating on whether to actually give us powers (stop pouting brice and and daniel) or to let our tck-ness be our 'powers'.

like kristine will be this 15 year old ninja, having studied sacred ancient middle eastern and philipino fight techniques.

or lets say daniel will be the meditation/conflict resolution guru who can solve all problems and think his way out of a matchbox.

brice, the bilingual computer whizz who can morph (not literally, but yes, literally) into an african, asian and european at will.

that sort of thing, so that our 'powers' are more just tck traits that would have to be extra strong for the film. you get me? i figure if we really had powers it would be too x-men-ish. but i like the idea of the school they have in x-men, i will have to steal that idea, or maybe make it that island someone talked about.

i LOVE x-men, the comic and the movies. the 3rd one was a bit disappointing though. also i don't like the way they hollywood-ify it and make most of the good x-men pretty while the bad ones look like monsters (in the comic it is not like this). true, in the 2nd and 3rd movies they brought more 'monter-like' goodies into the story, but still the main good guys are so pretty while the main bad guys are 'ugly' or less human looking. the whole point of x-men is to challenge our stereotypes and all that, it is just sad that in making a movie about this they felt they had to buy in to steretypes. oh well, such is the beast they call hollywood.

like i was reading an interview with salma hyeck about 'frida' when it first came out. she said when she was trying to make the movie, funders would only take it on if frida didn't have the unibrow and diego was not fat. can you imagine? there are like hundreds of paintings of frida kalho, how can you portray her without her unibrow??!!!

    bloody hollywood!

I never read the comic X-Men coz I was never into these things. But when I watched the movie I was in love with the story. And this was before I found out about this whole TCK thing.

Dan is right, X-Men is the closest thing to TCK in comics. They're outcasts, like us LOL

As for Charm's nickname, well I know your last name reminds me of the Pringles chips XD Maybe we can call you Pringles?
  • kristine
    I haven't even seen x-men. Wow, that's really sad.

Geekiest X-man? Hmmm.... Iceman(Bobby)? Angel? Not sure. Definitly NOT Pyro!
I wish i was an X-Man! My fave power wld either be Nightcrawlers - teleportation, Shadowcat's - being able to walk through walls or Angel's - but the wings wld get damned annoying!

What did you think of the films? I didn't like X3 - Damn you Bobby Singer for leaving to make Superman!
  • Uncle Dan
Who's the leader of this group?

Brice, probably. It's like the Justice League. While Superman might be the one with all the cool powers, Batman's better at thinking.

No wait, she said X-Men. So that would be... Brice is Cyclops and I'm Wolverine? ... But then, Brice and I get along. And don't fight over women.

    ... Yet.

    *dundun dunnnnnnn*
  • warona
oh brice, see what you started?

i am THINKING about writing a script that is sort of tck meets x-men kind of thing. i am still working it out in my head and waiting to dream about it (this is how i get some really good ideas. its what i tell myself to justify all my naps anyway!)

a nickname for charm....will have to work on that. its a very organic process you know!
  • kristine
    Warona's making a movie?!
  • charm
LOL you looked at my facebook profile. That would all be right, Brice lol. And yes I find charity work fun lol. I say I'm bored when I'm there but then I keep going and end up staying there for 7 months til I move again lol.
