I wanted to put my oar in–possibly where it doesn’t belong, because I hardly understand half the situation, but even still.

This site is run with complete freedom–anyone may post whatever they wish.  It’s not always about what we want to read or see, but it’s what people feel, and that’s what makes this so different.

I missed the drama of the past two days, I don’t fully understand it.  But what I want to say is that this shouldn’t define this.  Too often people and sites ruin something  by letting an incident like this get in the way.  We are not who we dislike, we are not even we love, we are the middle ground.  Everyone here means something, has something to say, and the common connection between these thoughts is what’s important.  I don’t want the site to harp on this, to gossip and allow ourselves to be defined by this.

We’re better than this–and I want us to keep the spirit that started site alive.  Every voice should be heard, every person shouldn’t be afraid to say what they feel.  If anyone does have that fear, there is always the option of anonymity, but the use of it shouldn’t be motivated by sole fear of backlash.

Drama isn’t important–it’s a lazy form of entertainment.  No matter what the original subject was,  drama transform it far beyond its meaning.  Move beyond it, above if you can.  But don’t let it get in the way of us.

On an unrelated note, I saw Barack Obama yesterday!  I was less than ten feet from him at one point!
