dedicated to Warona, the demon-fighter, and all the rest of us who’ve looked our pasts and fears in the eyes and decided to fight.
I’ve seen the fury of the dragons
I hide so carefully in my past–
I thought they were dying,
I thought I’d laid them all to rest.
But now you want to bring them out
One vicious beast at a time;
You want to release the monsters
That once overtook my mind.
I don’t quite understand you,
Your words I don’t quite trust,
But I’d love to see these demons
Struggling, dying in the dust.
But do they ever really die,
Or is it me who keeps them alive?
I don’ think I’ll ever forget
These dark dragons deep inside…
Please don’t disturb the dormant monsters
I don’t know if I can fight.
