Hi all! New member from Saudi Arabia :)
Hi guys!
I came across this site while googling the term “TCK, lol. I guess you could say I was feeling a bit down/moody. which explains the googling - trying to find something to connect with..
So here is a summary of me:
I’m American by passport, born in DC. My mother and step-dad decided to accept jobs in Saudi when I was 7 years old. At first they thought they’d end up in Jeddah, but instead we ended up in Riyadh, lol. After arriving in Riyo (What the cool kids refer to Riyadh by :-p) my mom put me in this International school called Manarat. But…I only got to stay there for about 3 weeks before my parents decided to do the ‘ol switch up again. Some one had convinced her that putting me in a normal Saudi school while I was still young would benefit me, cause I’d learn the lingo faster.
So yeah, all of my schooling was done in normal Saudi schools. I always wished I was in an International school because they seemed cooler, lol. But no matter how much I begged, the parents wouldn’t let me go to one
*sigh*.
Last July my parents decided it was time to move back to the US (after being there for 13 yrs) :”( So of course I had to leave all my friends - family- behind. Most of whom I’ll probably never see again…hurts like hell, and I’m still trying to cope with the move even though it has almost been a year! And the fact that I have made like…zero new friends doesn’t really help either
Lol.
Anyhow, I’ll stop rambling now
I’m currently living in the DC area.
*waves at everyone*
