hello~!^^

Hi~!^^ Soo…an introduction?

I’m turning 20 in April, that seem so old to me! I know it’s not really but sometimes it feels like I’ve lived my life in stages, each place I’ve lived a separate life, each a different me.

I was born in Shan Xi province, PRC. Adopted. My mother found me abandoned in a river. Two weeks old. Most common comments on hearing this are thats so heartwarming! or it’s like Moses! XP

The reason I was found and was able to travel was b/c of my dad’s work, project manager for construction projects, led him to travel frequently. Longest I ever lived anywhere is 8 years now - in Texas (can’t wait to leave). Before that the longest, by far, was 2 years in Mexico. I’ve been to or lived in most of the U.S. states, China, Thailand, Canada, airports in South Korea and Japan…I forget a lot of where I have been sadly, bad memory when I was a little kid.

Er, dunno what else to say? Am studying civil engineering at University of Texas in Austin. Was home-schooled all my life (for non-religious reasons). Never really met a TCK until college, three of my roommates have been…very cool. Always wanted to meet people my age who traveled when I was younger, but never did. Good to be here~! ^_^

Yes, I completely understand that feeling of being able to start anew in a new place=awesome! I wish some people understood tho, that starting anew doesn’t mean you forget the past X_x
Hehe, yayA for us Aprilers~! and lol at the banana, I’ve also heard twinkie…

As for engineering, ’tis exciting indeed ^_^
What type of engineering is everyone doing? As I mentioned earlier I’m studying civil, and probably specializing into environmental later on. Are you an engineer also Brice?

Happy New Year~! I love it! No resolutions for me really, just trying to live with meaning, happily, self-improvement..all that semi-cheesy stuff =P
Unfortunately nothing going on, no TV at my house so unless I mooch off my neighbors no countdown clock to watch =/
But probably will get to watch a few fireworks. Run around like crazy trying to photograph something cool. =)

What does anyone else have planned for New Years? Haha I should post elsewhere as well. I’m actually quite friendly, just never sure what to say…
btw, haha you can call me Jennifer if you prefer, Gen ni is my Chinese name (it’s supposed to mean something like treasure, but my Chinese roommate had no idea what I was talking about so idunno).
